Party primary elections in Virginia for 2025 are on June 17 and general elections in Virginia for 2025 will be held on Tuesday, November 4.
Are you registered to vote?
Eligible voters can also register to vote in person by:
- Completing your registration online
- Contacting your local voter registration office
- Downloading a copy of the registration form and sending for processing
- Or registering to vote at a voter registration drive
When to re-register
Your registration is permanent unless you move or change your name.
Address changes
If you have moved, you must transfer your registration by re-registering. Check your registration status with the Commonwealth’s Department of Elections and see if you need to update your registration.
Name changes
If you have changed your name, contact the Registrar of Elections to update your voter registration information. Check with the Commonwealth’s Department of Elections for up-to-date contact information.
Where do I vote?
On Election Day, you will cast your ballot in a polling place, usually in a public building near your home, that serves as a polling place.
